TITLE: Program Manager (Full-Time: 40 hours per week)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director (or Board Chair)
SUMMARY: Responsible for implementation, expansion, and evaluation of the GO
FAR program in a way that supports GO FAR’s mission and vision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development and Expansion - 30%
Program Development
- Lead new club recruitment in schools and youth organizations to increase GO FAR participation in the Piedmont Triad
- Build relationships and promote GO FAR as a premier afterschool program and partner in student success
- Mentor coaches and potential coaches in establishing the program, business issues, and race preparation
Resource Development
- Assist with data collection for grant and development goals
- Pursue and innovate fundraising opportunities
Communications and Logistics - _70%
Community Engagement
- Visit civic organizations to spread awareness about GO FAR and recruit potential volunteers, race committee members, and board members
- Collaborate with other organizations and businesses to increase GO FAR’s effect in the community
Club Management
- Serve as a liaison between Triad and Non-Triad coaches and GO FAR by answering coach questions and sending informational emails weekly
- Coordinate Triad Coaches’ Packet Pickup and manage Triad race registrations
- Manage Triad and Non-Triad orders
- Maintain club retention by providing excellent customer service to all GO FAR coaches and parents
Media Management
- Update the GO FAR website and RunSignUp website with relevant race information
- Troubleshoot website issues as necessary and collaborate with the website host
- Manage weekly social media posts and monthly e-newsletters
- Engage and inform the community about GO FAR programs, campaigns, and events in creative ways
Event Operations
- Coordinate and execute GO FAR’s Programs: the Scholarship Program, Lace Up Program, Gear Up Program, SOCKcess, Fuel Up, GO FAR at Home, and Community Practices
- Manage online race registrations and all packet pickups for coaches and participants on and before Race day
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to move efficiently between multiple tasks daily
- Excellent communication skills, professional presentation, and strong networking capabilities
- Must be creative, resourceful, and self-motivated to balance many independent responsibilities with team collaboration
- Experience in marketing
- Must live in the Piedmont Triad
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
