The Great Pumpkin 5K Trail Run

It’s perfect running weather, and The Great Pumpkin 5K Trail Run is coming! 

This in-person event will be held Nov. 14 at 1946 Sandy Ridge Road, Colfax. Registration is limited to 250 participants, so register early to ensure a spot. All proceeds benefit GO FAR. 

What you need to know:

• Cost is $35 and the event begins at 8:30 am.
• Parking located at Wesleyan Christian Academy athletics campus.
• Packet pickup details will be forthcoming.
• All finishers will receive a GO FAR finisher's medal.
• Prizes will be awarded to overall winners and top 3 in age group (10 year brackets).
• Race is rain or shine. Registrations will be capped at 250, so register early!
• Disposable masks will be provided upon arrival, worn until runners begin the race, and again upon finishing the race.
• Runners will be sent out in waves of 50 to meet the governor's current guidelines. In the event restrictions change resulting in the cancellation of this race, the race will become a virtual event and no refunds will be given. 
• To ensure you receive updates on wave assignments, packet pickup, etc., be sure to add Run SignUp and [email protected] to your recognized contacts. 
• Registration ends Nov. 13 at 11:59 pm EST.

Like many nonprofits and businesses, 2020 has been a difficult year for GO FAR. As a 501(c)3 North Carolina-based nonprofit, our primary source of revenue is two in-person races held annually for the children who participate in the GO FAR program. Despite the lack of funding, GO FAR has spent the year finding new ways to serve in the community and schools who rely on our programming. For 17 years, GO FAR has served schools, children, and families in the Triad and beyond. One hundred percent of every donation will go to funding GO FAR and providing opportunities for young children to develop healthy habits and stronger resilience.
