not a run club,
But a movement
GO FAR isn't a run club. It's a community health movement that happens to start with a pair of shoes.
The model works because kids are the entry point, not the endpoint and when a child changes how they move, eat, and believe in themselves, those habits ripple outward to their family and their neighborhood. We start with youth because they're the ones most ready to lead the way home.
Our four connected programs- Lace Up, Fuel Up, Gear Up & the Learning Lab- comprise a story of movement, nutrition, access, and education, each beginning with a young person and rippling out to the people around them.
GO FAR Programs
-

Lace Up
Lace Up is GO FAR's signature youth running and character development program, and it's the first step in every sense. Children train for a 5K while building perseverance, self-confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits — but the run is the vehicle, not the destination.
When a child discovers they can set a goal and keep showing up, that belief doesn't end at the finish line. It follows them home and begins to shift how an entire family thinks about what's possible. Lace Up is how the spark gets lit.
-

Fuel Up
Fuel Up connects movement to nourishment, teaching children how food powers energy, focus, and overall well-being. Through healthy snacks, nutrition education, and hands-on learning, kids gain practical tools they carry well beyond the program.
And because children are the ones who bring it home, asking for the better snack, reading the label, helping in the kitchen — Fuel Up turns one kid's curiosity into a family's new habit. Healthy eating stops being a lecture and becomes something the whole household does together.
-

Gear Up
Gear Up removes the barriers that keep kids on the sidelines. Through scholarships, athletic apparel, race registrations, and essential equipment, we make sure a family's finances never decide whether a child gets to belong.
The ripple only works if every kid is included and when a child shows up fully equipped and fully welcomed, that sense of belonging extends to the family cheering at the finish line. Gear Up keeps the movement open to everyone, not just those who can already afford to take part.

Learning lab
The Learning Lab is where the ripple completes its circle. Children, parents, and community partners come together for interactive workshops, cooking demonstrations, mental wellness education, physical activity, and health-focused community events.
If the other three programs reach the family through the child, the Learning Lab invites the whole family to step in directly turning health knowledge into shared, lived practice. It's the moment a kids' running program becomes a community's way of living.
