GO FAR Is Coming to Raleigh!

start lineGet those running shoes ready. GO FAR is coming to Raleigh with a 5K and One-Mile Fun Run event, exclusively for children and their families. Enjoy music, food, and festivities before, during, and after the race, held Saturday, Oct. 25, on Centennial Parkway.

The 5K begins at 9 a.m. and the Fun Run starts at 10:15. For full details, see our event information page.

Anyone can register for the event, whether you already have a GO FAR club or you are a community member who wants to be a part of an inspiring event.

GO FAR is an eight- to 10-week fitness program designed to teach children of all abilities about living a healthy lifestyle, setting goals, and training to walk/run a 5K. The program was created to help fight childhood obesity. North Carolina ranks fourth in the nation for childhood obesity rates.
