Hey Ricky! We at GO FAR know and love you and appreciate all you do, especially with our Lace Up program. This seems like a perfect time to introduce you to the GO FAR community. Thanks for taking time to answer our questions.

Ricky, tell us about yourself!

Ricky Evans: husband, father, grandfather. Self-employed (E. Solutions LLC.). I consider myself a lifetime volunteer because I am a servant first in this Kingdom. Operated a non-profit call Embrace A City, which served the homeless community. Hanging out with my family, cooking, reading, or listening to Audible books are some of the things that I enjoy doing.

How long have you been with GO FAR, and in what capacity?

I have been involved with Go Far since 2014. Serving on the Board, Lace-UP Program, Race Day Committee, and even putting their trust in me as electing me a Secretary. LOL

How were you introduced to GO FAR?

I was introduced to Go Far back in 2012 when my daughter and I ran our first race.

How has involvement with  GO FAR impacted your life or the life of those around you?

It gives me a sense of belonging and purpose.

What is one character trait that has beneficial to you in your own life that you have seen GO FAR help children to develop?

Determination, their will to finish the race.

What is one goal that you have for 2021, or one thing you are looking forward to this year?

For 2021, I must be diligent in all that I set out to do.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Anyone who wants to be first must first be last and a servant to ALL. (Mark 9:35)

Do you have a favorite Triad-based business? If so, why do you love/support it? E.Solutions Cleaning 😁  We are an environmental-friendly company that brings a Presence with love. Our mission is to cleanse the space we enter into.

Do you have a favorite memory or experience from your involvement with GO FAR?

The most memorable moment for me, my first Lace-up delivered at Johnson Street Global. Also, when a young lady had just lost her leg, but when she crossed that finish line, I have no words to describe my feelings.
