GO FAR 5K route

The warm weather, budding trees and singing birds will be here before you know as will the Family GO FAR 5K event.  This Spring, the race will be held at Showplace in High Point.  The race course is flat and fast and everyone will love the beautiful finish line in front of the High Point Theater.  We encourage entire families to come out and walk or run together and make the spring 2010 GO FAR 5K event the best race ever! And they're off! The start of the Fall ’09 GO FAR 5K on Nov. 14

Thank you for coming out to the Fall 2009 GO FAR 5K, our seventh race! We had a record crowd of 1,000 entrants and, after days of storms, the sun shone on us. The success of the race is a result of everyone's work: GO FAR kids, their great parents, our phenomenal teachers, our roll-up-their-sleeves volunteers, and great sponsors.  Thanks to all for making this a fun-filled day, and congratulations to everyone, young and old, who learned they can set a goal and meet it!

Runners, spectators and volunteers enjoyed free coffee from Starbucks, bread and baked goods from Great Harvest and Grateful Bread, sub sandwiches from Subway and free Italian ice treats from a local vendor. The crowd was also given opportunities to win prizes from local businesses such as Chick Fil A, American Heart Association, Pro Fit Foot Care from High Point, and Natuzzi.
