Why I'm Off' N Running (Spring 2010 contest):
Mission requirements:
Type a short paragraph explaining why your are Off' N Running! Explain how GO FAR has improved your fitness, self-esteem and eating habits. Win a pair of shoes from the Off' N Running store in Greensboro.
Guidelines:

- Student must be participating in a GO FAR program and be age 8-13
- Paragraph should be no longer than half a page single spaced
- Submission must include: name, age, school, GO FAR coach name, parent's email and phone number.
- The first name of the child and school name will be included on the GO FAR website.
- Winners will be notified via email or phone.
- Deadline: April 16, 2010

Nick from Southwest Elementary in Forsyth County. Here is what Nick wrote to us (Fall 2009):
"On one cold and windy day, my family stopped at the gas station to get some gas. When we went inside to pay, my dad said I could get some hot chocolate since it was a cold outside. Instead, I thought back to the man we passed on the way to the gas station, selling newspapers on the street. I told my dad I will get some hot chocolate but I would give it to the man on the street instead. He had many layers of clothes on, a jacket, hat and gloves to keep him warm. I knew I would be going home to a warm house and getting something warm to drink, but the man on the street would be outside in the cold all day. He could use it way more than me. As I rolled down my window and waved for him to come over, he thought we wanted to buy a newspaper. When I handed him the warm drink instead, the look on the man’s face was shocked but very grateful and it made me happy to know that I did something for someone other than myself."
