Donate To GO FAR
A fourth-grade girl starting GO FAR recently asked her teacher if she could run in her winter boots, because they are her only shoes.
We're hearing more of those stories: teachers asking for more scholarships than ever before, more schools asking for help to purchase the GO FAR curriculum. Your gift helps more kids at more schools, especially those most in need, discover the fun of physical activity, learn to make smart food choices, and experience success.
Every child deserves a chance to GO FAR. You can be part of the solution as we face the alarming epidemic of childhood obesity. Help us encourage a new generation of runners and health enthusiasts.
DONATE today to help a child GO FAR in life...
FRIEND OF GO FAR - $25
Each year, hundreds of children need scholarships to participate in GO FAR. For just $25, you can sponsor a child who wants to participate in 10 weeks of training with their school and complete a 5K race. Your gift will support the race registration fee and the sponsored child will receive a GO FAR t-shirt, finisher medal, and timing race bib.
LACE UP LEADER - $60
Running is a sport that does not require a lot of equipment, but good shoes are essential! Shoes that fit properly are not only important for safety and healthy feet, but they also bring confidence to a child who may be lacing up a new pair of shoes for the very first time. With your gift, a child can be fitted for a new pair of sneakers through the Lace Up program in partnership with Omega Sports and New Balance.
SCHOOL CHAMPION - $320+
Your gift means supporting start-up costs for a school who would like to start a GO FAR running club. Your support will cover the costs of the GO FAR curriculum, coaches’ training and online resources to set them up for a successful first GO FAR season. Add $25 per child to support race registration fees for each participant.
RUNNING CLUB PARTNER - $3,000
Go farther with your support and give the gift of GO FAR to support an entire running club for one full year. Your gift will provide one school with the GO FAR curriculum, coaches’ training and online resources, healthy snacks and race registrations for up to 35 children (spring and fall).
Children participating in GO FAR train for 10 weeks with the goal of completing a 5K road race. The Triad Family 5K event, held annually each spring and fall, is a celebration of their success and we couldn’t provide this important experience without the support of generous sponsors. Corporate sponsors and donors will be recognized prominently during race promotion and on race day.
