And the winners of the May 2nd, Spring 09 GO FAR 5K event are .........
Drake Murphy - the first male to cross over the GO FAR 5k finish line on Saturday May 2nd. This is his second GO FAR win. Drake is not currently part of a GO FAR club. He is also able to claim a win at last Fall's GO FAR 5K event. Drake had an impressive time of 18:57:35 with a 6:07 mile pace. This is a very notable time!
Kylie Jones is the first place female for the GO FAR 5K. Kylie is 12 years old and is part of the GO FAR club at Southwest Elementary and had an extraordinary time of 22:52:10 with a 7:23 mile pace. Go Kylie!
The first male teacher to cross the finish line was Nate Reeser from Millis Road Elementary and our first female teacher to lead the pack was Cindy Reno from Northern Elementary. Cindy came in 3rd overall for female participants. Outstanding!

2nd place GO FAR club 5K finisher: Blair Ramsey, 11, from Morehead Elementary, 22:56:15.
3rd place GO FAR club 5K finisher: Baily Ratterree, 10, from Colfax Elementary, 25:51:20.
Male GO FAR 5K Club finishers include:
1st place GO FAR club finisher: Tyler Robackiwicz, 11, from Northern Elementary, 21:40:05.
2nd place GO FAR club finisher: Jeremy Cronin, 11, from Southwest Elementary. Jeremy is 11 y/o and he had a time of 21:52:85.
3rd place GO FAR club finisher. Zach Patel, 11, from Southwest Elementary, 21:54:65.

On May 3rd, B'Nai Shalom School of Greensboro held their own community race. The morning was sunny and warm and at 8 a.m. the group was off running at Brown Bark Circle park for their own community GO FAR 5K race. 14 children from the school completed the race along side parents, teachers and siblings. Michelle Bigelman, mom, and Shana Dege, B"nai Shalom PE teacher, were instrumental in the successful program at their school. Congratulations to a race well done!
